LGBT WEDDING RINGS – Although gay marriages in Japan have not been legalized, some bridal jewelry has taken steps to bring its products and activities into compliance with LGBT.
Primo Japan Inc. Earlier this month, it promoted a “gender-neutral” approach to commercializing its products by removing the men’s and women’s labels from the description of both wedding ring marks. It is presented on his website.

According to PR Director Yuki Yamashira, Primo Japan was asked to solve the problem on the vendor’s proposal. In a subsequent internal investigation, about half of the 87 stores reported that their employees served LGBT users.
Yamashiro asked for a report on Nagasaki, where a lesbian couple told workers about the bad experiences they had with another company. The other shopkeepers had a strange reaction and they said they were buying a wedding ring. The couple said they had special meanings for them because they had no legal right to register their marriage.
Yamashiro stated that the event and other similar reports from other industries convinced the jeweler to take a step forward in changing the descriptions on the internet and making transactions compatible with LGBT.
Cousin Japan also wants to greet LGBT users who were previously excluded from the civilian sector, while Japanese Marriage generally fell. According to statistics previously published by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Affairs, there were 606,863 marriages in 2017, compared with 719,822 in 2007.
In summer, Primo Japan also replaces sexually signed tires and descriptions with printed terms and other home market products with neutral terms. Yamashiro said that the changes could also respond to changing personal preferences, as more and more people are looking for non-traditional patterns of their alliances.
Other goldsmiths are also thinking about treating LGBT couples.
Founded in February 2017 in Nagoya, K.uno asked its leaders and business leaders to participate in the LGBT diversity course. The course was led by Letibee, a company that wants to improve links between companies and the LGBT community.
The representative of K.unoa, Megumi Kawamura, said that same-sex couples visited their stores for two decades before the term “LGBT” is widely accepted and began a legal debate on gay marriages in Japan. “Our employees led them to private discussions as long as they dared, but we found that some customers did not want special care,” Kawamura said.
Kawamura said the company is creating a comprehensive environment and offering customized tires for each pair.
